Lately...

Here's my life in pictures, 

what i've been up to since i was last here.

Making fresh pasta that bloomed and reminded me of petals.

I always make too much pasta, 

it looks like nothing before it's submersed in water.

Stupid gremlin pasta!

I made some delicious food recently, meatballs...

Fatty pizza....

And a lemon and blueberry loaf.

Found some lollys that i used to buy as a kid.

As an artist, i think they're so sweet.

[groan]

I did my roots and got rid of the pink, 

am planning on a new colour,

either lilac or a pinky, washed out red.

I haven't decided yet....

love directions tho!

I remembered that i loved olives,

after hating them for a long long long long long long long time.

Got some flowers to spruce up the house and make it feel more like spring,

and less like winter is going to come back!

Speaking of.....

i got back into South Park massively and am super excited for the new game!

I'm going to see Brody Dalle this week [thursday!]

and if you don't know me that well, 

you should know that this chic is my IDOL.

I love her, she inspires me, she is everything.

Her band, The Distillers, are everything.

Look at that set list, i might explode from excitement and anticipation!!

I gave Twin Peaks a try,

but i couldn't deal with the hilarity.

It's too much, i'm sorry.

I can't do it!

Whilst baking i noticed my apron was almost a dress.

I'm so short.

And this is an example of how terrible my OOTD's would be.

I'm wearing a onesie, 

my socks are pulled up over the pants,

and my bear slippers for extra warmth.

I answered the door like this.

I successfully made my first poached egg. 

Ok, i lie, this was my second attempt, first was way overcooked.

Was yummy.

Ok, so i'm coming to realise most of my pictures are of food i've eaten.

And what?!

Seriously though guys, this woman. 

I also got mad addicted to this game.

Don't play it if you enjoy games like Sims or Animal Crossing.

Sunday summary

Guys!!

I'm back in England wahoo!

It was a drama getting here though.

34degrees in Berlin when i left on Wednesday.

No air.

Humid.

Very, very, warm.

Get to the airport at 7pm for my 9:35pm flight.

"expected 01:55".

Umm...

I was stranded in Schönefeld airport til half 1 in the morning.

It was boring, to say the least.

I was flying alone too.

I admit i had a little cry when i first found out.

I put it down to stress and heat.

In the end though i got through it. 

The flight was pretty amazing.

I had a whole two rows at the back to myself.

After we ascended we flew past a couple of pretty intense storms.

I've neve seen lightening from above and i have to say, 

it was incredible.

Now, i don't know if it was because i had just sat in the airport for 6 and a half hours, 

but the flight went really fast.

I wasn't as nervous as i normally get,

despite the worst turbulence i've ever experienced!

I've never flown so early in the morning before and i witnessed another cool sight.

If i looked out of the left window the sky was black,

and the moon was huge 

[supermoon tonight!]

and really yellow and bright.

Then looking out of the right window the sun was starting to rise in a beautiful blue sky.

I tried to get photos, but they were rubbish!

It was bizarre,

but so amazing to see.

Anyone else witnessed this or lightening on a plane??

This week i also got a new tattoo.

It's pretty exciting but it deserves it's own post!

I finally got an appointment to see the doctor about my sinuses.

On the day, lo and behold, i felt so much better.

The doctor gave me some antibiotics anyway so i've been on them 24 hours now.

No side affects as of yet...

My mum is treating me today to a trip to costco,

who doesn't love going there!!?

Also garden centre, some bargain shops, and tonight....

i'm going to see despicable me 2!!

Ba-ba-ba-ba-banana!

My sister and her fiance said they wanted to come but,

 after a pretty heavy two nights...

i can see this being a solo trip!!

Homeward bound

Side note...

Did anybody else love Homeward Bound as much as i did as a kid?

Psssht, who am i kidding...

i love it even now!

I went back to the UK last week for my mum's birthday.

She's German and hasn't seen her mum, my Oma, for 3 years.

So the whole family conspired for months to get my Oma, her boyfriend [!!], my uncle and his lady friend, over to Warrington for her birthday.

And you know what?

We pulled it off!

My Oma arrived on the Friday before her birthday party, and my uncle arrived on the actual day of her party. Her face was a picture. 

Both times. 

Success!

I have so much to show and tell you about my trip home, as you can probs tell it's been a bit of a hectic week back!

Got lots of bargains, met up with a lot of family, and celebrated a milestone birthday.

Back in Berlin now, after a drama with the train from the airport, we came home to mouldy bread [so gross] and a bust boiler. 

Oh also, today is a bank holiday, so we are going the be like the stink monster in Spirited Away by the time the hot water comes back on!

We're going to have an olden day shower later, bucket of boiled water in the bath ha!
