Lately...

Ah finally blogger uploaded my photos!
These are crappy ipad pictures so i have to apologise in advance for them being small
[and shitty quality!]

So, a quick catch up...

i freaking love bob's burgers.
i don't know why i avoided this show for so long.
i am tina.
i love the whole family, they are amazing.
if you like south park, simpsons, family, king of the hill etc,
basically 'adult' cartoons
[pfft all cartoons are for adults]
and if you haven't yet watched this,
please watch it!

i watched a diy punk documentary about plan it x records and it filled me with inspiration,
i started planning a zine about standing up and giving people the finger.
whatever bad thing anyone has said about you,
just fuck them.
you don't need that in your life!

we got a meat grinder for xmas and have been making proper sausages
and burgers.

proof i still exist!
the playoffs start on friday and my bruins are in a pretty good position.
however...
they're usually the underdog in this competition,
so i hope they don't get overly cocky and mess it up!
i believe they can do it though.

Party at the Palmyra // Warrington

Hello, hello, hello!
[i've been watching too much rupaul]
Ive been trying to write a catch up post on my ipad bcos i have a shit ton of photos on there
but blogger is being an asshole and i can't figure it out.

While i'm working on it though here's a draft from last year,
october i think,
when i went home for a friends wedding.
This was one of those lazy warm nights,
surrounded by friends and family.

My sister's fiancee,
[i wish there were a better word for that, it's annoying to say]
is in a band, Old Tow Quartet,
kind of country,
but i'm shit with music genres, if it's good, it's good.

They've recently recorded an album,
[my other half is designing the artwork for it]
and it sounds, and is looking, pretty good.
If you're curious check them out
^-^

Back to the photos....

Despite Warrington being a bit of a hole in places,
[ooh controversial]
the buildings in town are stunning.

When you feel like crap and this is the best OOTD photo you can stomach.
Side note...
i love these boots!
They are my life i swear.
I found them in a vintage shop when i was about 17 and picked them up for £20.
Proper oxblood worn in docs.
Heaven.
I told my mum i'm going to get married in them
[she hates them, they're too 'clumpy' lol]
then i was like actually....
*cue happy relieved face from motherhen*
i need to find a pair in white anyway, i'll wear them.

We had some cute German friends and family staying,
hence the family outing.

Motherhen!

I love floors.
Seriously, lookit how pretty.

My father, ladies and gentlemen.
He is the ultimate poser and only last year i realised that it's from him
my sister gets her extrovert and posey ways!

Me being a creeper from outside.
The bar is way too small for actual gigs,
i stayed outside like a good wallflower.

Anyway,
sorry it's not a recent catch up.
Hope you enjoyed it regardless?!

If you're interested in the band their facebook is
I'm pretty sure there's more songs online.

Right....lets get this stupid blogger app sorted!

I opened my shop!!

I actually did it!!!

Also, side note, i keep spelling shop wrong,
SHOPE.
Lol,
pronounce it like 'hope',
it makes me feel like a fancypants.

I hand make these plush dolls and paint their faces.
All done with watercolour and pen.
Some are tattooed, some aren't.

I have 7 for sale for now.
I'm prototyping some tattooed mermaids currently.
I'm also going to offer custom dolls.

As well as the dolls i'm selling prints of my weird illustrations.
For example...

This rosette is part of a series of every day achievements.
They're to do with anxiety, depression,
and just general good feelings.

Lots more in the shope ;-)

A fitting end to my post, no??
This is an out-take of a girl gang zine i'm working on.
I think the message is pretty clear,
if you support your boobs, your boobs support you.

Haha,
support each other in life,
if we aren't there for each other then what's the point?!

So please, check out my shop,
tell your friends
share the page,
you can get 10% off your order with the code
BLUEMONDAY
because i'm excited to be open finally
[and i love you guys]

Thank you :)

Feel the fear and do it anyway.

That's a quote right??
I'm pretty sure i read that somewhere...

So this week i did something i've been wanting to do for years,
i made an artists page for myself on facebook,
EEK.

Mega scary, but i bit the bullet and i did it!

I'm still scared,
still filled with self doubt,
but this little step has been incredible for me.

I feel like everything has fallen into place.
I want to do this,
i want to open an etsy shop,
i want to draw!
I want people to enjoy my creations and laugh along with me.

This may not seem a big deal to most people,
but to anyone struggling with not knowing where they want to be in life,
what they want to 'do',
anyone with anxieties and depression,
any introverts...
you get it right?

These are a few of my newer drawings.
The achievement rosettes are part of a series to do with everyday successes.
You will find more work on my new page,
wink wink,
over HERE on facebook!
[aggressive link text lol]

If you like it, please like it.
Share it even.
It would mean the absolute world to me to get to 100 likes by this time next week.
I'll be holding a giveaway when i get to 100 likes for a print of your choice,
YEAH BITCH, FREE PRINT!

Hope everyone's having a good sunday,
especially you mums!

Womanstanley - The Exhibition.

I'm part of a group of [amazing] artists called Womanstanley
[go like us!]
and we're holding an exhibition in June
GRRRL POWER!!

The poster was designed by one of my favourite female artists Sophie New.
Her work is a dream and exactly my kind of art.
Love.Her.

This is going to be my first ever exhibition.
Seeing as i am still [and forever] on hiatus for my degree i haven't had a final degree.
WAH.
So i have no idea what i'm doing.
The worst of it is i can't even be in Warrington when it's going on.
DRAMAAA!
I'm back in May so i need to get really organised and decide what i want to exhibit,
get some business cards printed,
sort out my shop,
frame my chosen drawings.

So.Much.To.Do.

[btw i'm such a geek, whilst writing this i'm listening to Les Mis videos from you tube,
'without me, his world will go on turniiiiing'
obsessed with the music in this play]

The thought of putting my work out there fills me with dread.
I've only recently become comfortable with myself,
with my style and my drawings.
I just hope they are well received and that people who like this style,
like my work and get in touch.
I'm shy in person but i'm cool with hiding behind a laptop :)

I'm sure i'll be posting about the exhibition prep,
shop stuff,
new drawings etc.

I'm also thinking of making a FB page for me as an artist.
*adds more onto to do list*

Still old.

So here it is,
part two of my birthday treats.
I feel so lucky to have such amazing people in my life.
They all know me so well.

My sister and i are obsessed with the emperor's new groove,
we quote it to each other all the time.
LLAMA FAAACE.

I've recently got into reading comics,
not superhero comics,
there are others!!
I didn't know this, lol, felt well stupid when i discovered them,
i was enlightened.
Tank Girl is my hero, i love her,
have you seen the film?
Go watch it!

Another obsession.
Ace Ventura.
My boyfriend and i have so many heated discussions about which is better,
The first one, or the second one.
*ahem-when nature calls*
I want to marry Jim Carrey though.
Seriously.
Send him my way.

So....i've realised that a lot of the things i am into are based on tv shows or films...
what does that say about me!?
Breaking bad pins are never a bad thing.
I love wood engraving and burning so think these are to die for.
TO DIE FOR.
My friend got me my own personal rocket,
so i can escape when i need to and immerse myself in the wonder that is the universe.

If you're not interested in my birthday haul then i'm sorry,
for me though, seeing what people got for their birthday or christmas is my favourite kind of post!
Mainly because i always discover new things,
new shops, new artists.
Because i read blogs that interest me, i always find i connect to the person a little more
after seeing what they get from people who know them.

So...onto the big debate...
Ace Ventura or Ace Ventura:When Nature Calls?

AND WHY!?!?!?

A couple of extras from my ipad...
Boyfriend thought it would be hilarious to get me a Tororo onesie.
Joke's on him because i'm never taking it off.

Also got a new head protector for summer,
my ice hockey team, Boston Bruins.
