Still old.

So here it is,
part two of my birthday treats.
I feel so lucky to have such amazing people in my life.
They all know me so well.

My sister and i are obsessed with the emperor's new groove,
we quote it to each other all the time.
LLAMA FAAACE.

I've recently got into reading comics,
not superhero comics,
there are others!!
I didn't know this, lol, felt well stupid when i discovered them,
i was enlightened.
Tank Girl is my hero, i love her,
have you seen the film?
Go watch it!

Another obsession.
Ace Ventura.
My boyfriend and i have so many heated discussions about which is better,
The first one, or the second one.
*ahem-when nature calls*
I want to marry Jim Carrey though.
Seriously.
Send him my way.

So....i've realised that a lot of the things i am into are based on tv shows or films...
what does that say about me!?
Breaking bad pins are never a bad thing.
I love wood engraving and burning so think these are to die for.
TO DIE FOR.
My friend got me my own personal rocket,
so i can escape when i need to and immerse myself in the wonder that is the universe.

If you're not interested in my birthday haul then i'm sorry,
for me though, seeing what people got for their birthday or christmas is my favourite kind of post!
Mainly because i always discover new things,
new shops, new artists.
Because i read blogs that interest me, i always find i connect to the person a little more
after seeing what they get from people who know them.

So...onto the big debate...
Ace Ventura or Ace Ventura:When Nature Calls?

AND WHY!?!?!?

A couple of extras from my ipad...
Boyfriend thought it would be hilarious to get me a Tororo onesie.
Joke's on him because i'm never taking it off.

Also got a new head protector for summer,
my ice hockey team, Boston Bruins.

Kukee jewellery and a wishlist of sorts...

I stumbled across Kukee quite by accident.
I was looking for a name necklace, and found their site via a google search.
I decided to go ahead and buy a necklace, and get it delivered to my mum's so i had a nice treat to look forward to coming home!

When i got back and she gave me my pile of parcels,
[i may have treated myself to a few bits...]
i ripped this one from Kukee open straight away.

Lookit the cute packaging!

I love this necklace.
I wear it all of the time.
It's a bit different to the popular tatty devine-esque name necklaces lots of people have.
The letter cubes are chunky yet dainty at the same time.
The chain is the perfect length for me.

If you look at the photo above you can see some larger links in the chain.
These are on either side of the letters and prevent them from separating and rolling around to the back of your neck!
Ingenius!
They don't seem to have the named necklaces or bracelets on the site anymore.
It's a shame really.
Not to worry though, there's lots of other pretty things!

After putting my new necklace on i went straight to the website and looked at ordering a few more things.

Treats!

I chose some necklaces that are all of the things i love.
Space, dinosaurs, and skulls.
I am such a nerd i know.

There's a few other bits i want from the site...

These super cute skull bobbles are calling out to me.
Not pictured is the matte black one, sooo good!
For £1 each i might treat myself to all three.

These diamond pretties.
Swoon.
I'm getting a diamond knuckle tattoo when i go home so i want these!

These safety pin earrings couldn't call out to the punk in me more.

And finally this little pyramid.

Ah, i'm going back home in a couple of weeks so might have to place another order because seriously, i freaking love this website.

Keep checking their facebook.
Every now and then they post really good deals and offers.

Did i mention Kukee has a page dedicated to £1 jewellery?
One pound.
Crying.

Just to make things clear,
anything i talk about on here i've bought myself.
No-one has ever sent me anything to review,
[waah!]
i felt like i just needed to clear that up.

I love bargains, and i love quirky jewellery that you can express yourself through.
That is why i love this site so much.

Sunday Summary

1. Making a playlist for the birthday party 2. De-tangling and bagging necklaces
3. Organising jewellery 4. Boyfriend wafted this stack under my nose while i was working out!
5. Finally got around to cleaning my make up brushes

As well as all of the above, I watched 'I give it a year' during the week.
Apparently it's the 'best british comedy since something', i didn't pay attention, but i don't think it deserves the accolade!
I found it a bit boring, slow, and predictable. Even the 'surprise' ending.
Not so surprising.
You can kind of see where it's going from the start.
The actors were great, it just bored me.

I also finished reading A Perfect Retreat and loved it.
Chic lit with a sense of humour is my favourite.
Will be posting a full review about it soonsies.

It was my mum's birthday party yesterday and all of her surprises were revealed so i can finally relax!
Lots of photos to share and stories to tell you about.

Also, if anyone has a UK Discount store near them, the one with the pink and black logo, get down to it! In the week i picked up 2 Dainty Doll eyeshadows and an eyeshadow base for £1 each.
Yes. £1. Each.
Winner.

Today i slept until 13:30.
It's now half 5 and i'm ready for bed again!
Ah the perils of the late 20's!

Hope everyone has had a nice, easy week and it's not been as crazy hectic as mine!

My favourite necklaces

I am currently knee deep in bunting, tissue paper pom poms, and washi tape.
My mum's birthday party is tomorrow and i am swamped!
I have lots to share, but photoshop is on the other laptop, which my boyfriend currently has.
So until i get to that machine to edit photos, i have a few stand by posts to share :)

I wanted to show you guys some of my favourite necklaces.

I'm not really into the big statement necklaces or collars, i prefer longer chains with catchy pendants.
Having said that though, i recently bought a couple of statement necklaces to try out, i'm not sure how i feel about them yet.
Being a pretty laid back kinda gal when it comes to style [PAH understatement!], i always forget about jewellery and accessorising.
I never used to, i guess i've just gotten lazy in my old, old age.
I vow to myself to try harder!

So, on with the show... four of my favourite, most worn, necklaces.

1. Snow White  2. Cinderella  3. Tinkerbell - all Disney Couture
4. Sawyer and Scout Deathly Hallows necklace

I got all of my Disney Couture necklaces years ago from ASOS after seeing Nicole Richie wearing one of their wrap bracelets. They still stock the brand, but i've not seen many nice things that i fancy recently. I'm wondering* if they'll get some new stuff in?
After a quick search on Ebay i found a much wider selection, and much cheaper! I have to say, if i didn't have GIANT fingers, i would be buying some of those stacking rings, so nice.

The Deathly Hallows necklace i got from Sawyer and Scout a year or two ago. Every time i wear it i get huge compliments from fellow potter geeks [don't take offence, we are what we are].
I mosied on over to the site today and my heart soared when i saw the little dino bracelet [jurassic park nerd here], then came crashing down when i realised they were out of stock! Gutted!
Also, side note, i am LOVING the Divergent necklace.
I've just started reading this series so was super excited to see those!

Anyway, hope y'alls enjoyed my jewels?

* GAH hoping and praying
