My cameras - Lomo

One of my favourite things in the world is cameras.
I love taking photos,
looking back at pictures and recalling the day,
situation,
conversation.

I love just looking at a camera too.
I just find them really aesthetically pleasing.
[i'm coming across weird again]
You know some people collect dragon figurines,
oh, or Pogz?
Well i like to collect cameras.

I first got introduced to lomo cameras when my boyfriend went to London a while ago.
He went to the design museum,
[i love the shop there]
And came home with a lomo fisheye camera.
I was like 'WOAH what is that!?'.
Especially when the film got developed.
I think it took me about two months before it was in my possession.
Ha, winner.

Below are some of my lomo cameras.
The main premise of lomo photography is to point and shoot.
Suits my style of photography perfectly.
[no style at all!]

This was a christmas present a few years back.
I haven't had any film developed yet,
i haven't really found anywhere decent to take pictures.

It's a spinner.
I know right!
See the little ring?
Well, you grip the handle, pull the ring,
hold the camera above your head and release!
360º photo.
I have no clue where i'd get the film for this developed lol.
Any ideas??

The old favourite.
Little fisheye.
Look at him in his fancy on trend neon jacket!

This colourful beast has 8 lenses.
Which means 8 frames in one picture.
It is bizarre and so fun.

I also have a 120 diana that i am yet to play with properly.

Man i suck!
I told you, i just like to look at them!

Does anyone else own any toy cameras?
I'd love to see your photos!

Sunday Summary

1.  Camera photo-shoot  2. Real english sausages!  3. The biggest face wipe i've ever used
4. Goat  5. Homemade iced coffee  6. Fancy tomato  7. Days in the park
8. Pizzaah  9. Twisted  10. Dog beast  11. Eating out  12. Froyo with heidelbeeren

Well after a pretty on/off week weather-wise
the sun finally decided to show it's big round face!
So much so that i got me a bit of sun burn.
Ooops.
I'm getting the sunburn chills now.

Despite feeling rotton i've had a really nice weekend!
We visited Mauerpark both days,
had some frozen yogurt and bought some vinyl.
[Peter Tosh, Jimmy Cliff, and Iron Maiden...
if you're interested]

We indulged ourselves with vegan burgers
and an impromptu trip to Gaudy Café for lunch midweek.
Finally broke into the english sausage supply for a tasty fat breakfast.
[Germany only has bratwurst, or bockwurst.]
[and no bacon.]
[not cool Deutschland, not cool.]
Gobbled up fancy flowery tomatoes and made us some pizza.

I had a camera photo shoot so i can share my collection.
Yep. I'm the girl who takes pictures of pictures,
and cameras.
I am that cool people.

The boyfriend had fun making himself a million iced coffees.
His secret, coffee ice cubes.
Shh, don't say i told.

While he was doing this i was marvelling at the size of the new face wipes i bought.
They are HUGE!
They cover my whole face.
Amazing.
I'm trying to not use wipes all the time,
chemicals etc,
but sometimes you just need to wipe, am i right?
>.<

I also found a new way to wear my hair.
So much fun.
I love it.
I didn't think it would hold to be honest,
was pretty dubious.
The trick is though, twist the hair pieces first,
then twist them around each other.
Marvellous.

Oh excellent news for you hockey fans....
My bruins got through to the final woo!
Because it's the playoffs most of the guys grow beards.
Seriously, hockey players with beards.
Seriously.

And finally,
last episode of Game of Thrones tomorrow.
*sadface*
After last weeks explosive episode,
i'm excited about how they're going to end it.
My guess is the final scene will be something to do with fire.
Series 1 ended with Dani [fire],
Series 2 ended with the white walkers [ice].
So i'm thinking fire, maybe something to do with the red god?
Bit supernatural/magic like the last two finales...
We'll see,
very much looking forward to it.

Hope everyone has had a good week!

I'm going to see Bad Religion on thursday
so my week is already looking amazing!

Dainty Doll eyeshadows £1!!!

This is NOT a purchase from fragrance direct!
I'll admit, when 'everyone' was blogging about the DD blushes, i mooched over for a nosey.
But i didn't like any of the colours, so, feeling a bit sad, i left it.

When i go back home one of my favourite things is the discount shops.
[and asda, but that's a whole other post altogether]
We have a retail park that has three, THREE, stores!!!
B&M, Home Bargains, and Discounts UK.

Go on....keep scrolling, it's good...

All of the discounts!

It was Discount UK where i found this little haul.
Their make up section is amazing.
Seriously, go check it out.
Sally Hansen, Wet & Wild, Bourjois, so many great brands and so so cheap.
What caught my eye though was the beautifully packaged Dainty Doll eyeshadows.

I literally gasped.
My dad was all, "are you ok? what's up".

I stood at the stand for ages, riffling through the packets to see the range of colour.
Turns out there were only 3 choices.
2 eyeshadows, and 1 eyeshadow base.

I couldn't decide.
Then my dad was like,
*exasperated sigh*
"Shell, they're a pound each, just throw them all in the basket"

So i did!
For the sumly [is that a word?] price of £3!

These can retail anywhere from £1.99 on Fragrance Direct, to £14 everywhere else.
The choice on FD however isn't that great.
All in all, I'm pretty happy with my bargain.
Wearing my smug pants.

Two of my cases don't have a mirror, but how many mirrors does one person really need?
The shadows are really pigmented, can be worn nice and subtle, or really build up that colour.

I'm super happy with Teach Me Tiger.
It's a shimmery orange/gold colour,
and is a colour i have been searching for but never knew it.

The eyeshadow base is easy to apply and so creamy.
It reminds me of Benefit's LemonAid, just not quite as yellow, or solid.
If i'm honest, i prefer the DD base.
I feel it lasts a little longer and is easier to apply.

Ah shopping!
Discount store shopping.
Ain't nothing better.

I picked up a few more bargains whilst in the UK.

Will be posting about them, so look forward to that!
Also a fresh new analog post.

Exciting, non?!

My favourite necklaces

I am currently knee deep in bunting, tissue paper pom poms, and washi tape.
My mum's birthday party is tomorrow and i am swamped!
I have lots to share, but photoshop is on the other laptop, which my boyfriend currently has.
So until i get to that machine to edit photos, i have a few stand by posts to share :)

I wanted to show you guys some of my favourite necklaces.

I'm not really into the big statement necklaces or collars, i prefer longer chains with catchy pendants.
Having said that though, i recently bought a couple of statement necklaces to try out, i'm not sure how i feel about them yet.
Being a pretty laid back kinda gal when it comes to style [PAH understatement!], i always forget about jewellery and accessorising.
I never used to, i guess i've just gotten lazy in my old, old age.
I vow to myself to try harder!

So, on with the show... four of my favourite, most worn, necklaces.

1. Snow White  2. Cinderella  3. Tinkerbell - all Disney Couture
4. Sawyer and Scout Deathly Hallows necklace

I got all of my Disney Couture necklaces years ago from ASOS after seeing Nicole Richie wearing one of their wrap bracelets. They still stock the brand, but i've not seen many nice things that i fancy recently. I'm wondering* if they'll get some new stuff in?
After a quick search on Ebay i found a much wider selection, and much cheaper! I have to say, if i didn't have GIANT fingers, i would be buying some of those stacking rings, so nice.

The Deathly Hallows necklace i got from Sawyer and Scout a year or two ago. Every time i wear it i get huge compliments from fellow potter geeks [don't take offence, we are what we are].
I mosied on over to the site today and my heart soared when i saw the little dino bracelet [jurassic park nerd here], then came crashing down when i realised they were out of stock! Gutted!
Also, side note, i am LOVING the Divergent necklace.
I've just started reading this series so was super excited to see those!

Anyway, hope y'alls enjoyed my jewels?

* GAH hoping and praying
